Forex Trading – What Time is It

After learning how to do forex trading, the next question is what time is the best time to trade? While stock markets close, the forex trading market is always open. Whether you want to trade at midnight or at noontime, you always have a market to look at. There are certain times, however, when the market is more active – this is the time when you want to be there to see the action. Working an active market will result in more possibilities of raking in pips.

There are three major trading sessions in the forex trading market: the Tokyo Session, the London Session, and the U.S. Session. These three sessions have overlapping times, at which point the market is without doubt the most active. The sessions from 3am to 4am EST and from 8am to 12pm EST are the busiest trading times with the London session being the most active in one of the two sessions. It is during mid-week when the most movement is seen in the forex trading market and therefore is the best time to strike opportunities for making profits in trades.

Fridays, Sundays, and holidays are normally not good for trades since not much action is seen in the forex trading market during these times. In fact, Fridays are only half-day working days for most forex traders since no action ever happens in the afternoons. Being watchful of the market at time when it is most active is a must for most forex traders. Those forex traders who have difficulties being available during these times should look for options they can take to catch some of the action.

Sentiments in Forex Trading

One notion that is overlooked in forex trading is the mere fact that the market crowd itself moves the market. Whenever the crowd sentiments turn out to be considerably negative or positive, it sends out a signal that the trend is exhausted and is about to move the opposite direction. This is how crowd sentiments affect forex option trading and in fact, has been an efficient tool to indicate market trends.

Once a trader locates how extreme crowd sentiments have turned out, she can easily identify market reversals that can lead to substantial winnings. Aside from that, forex news coverage also affects the sentiments of the market. Being able to interpret forex news to find out if the traders are bullish or bearish can serve as a trader’s edge in the market. Part of this strategy is to assess the risk and the time frame of one’s trade by using indicators such as the Elliot Wave theory and Fibonacci principles among other tools.

More so, the techniques that one must master in order to gauge crowd sentiments are indicators such as Commitment of Traders report, pivot points, oscillators, and time cycles. Anything that can identify how the trend shifts based on crowd sentiments at major currency trading turning points can help you decide whether to take a trading opportunity or not.

Using crowd sentiments in trading is effective judging from the trend wherein market tops occur whenever the majority of traders become bullish while market bottoms occur whenever the traders become bearish. A trader who knows how to interpret such trend has a tremendous edge over traders who rely merely on traditional techniques and fundamentals.

The Best Tactics For Short Term Forex Trading

In terms of being the best tactician in short-term forex trading, we recommend momentum trading and for good reasons, too. Its main aim is to achieve the profit target as soon as possible with as little risk possible under the volatile circumstances that surround each forex transaction. Basically, you take advantage of the momentum when it is on your side by entering the forex market either on a long or short basis.

You will require three kinds of moving averages to accomplish your purpose, namely, the moving average convergence divergence (MACD), the 100-day simple moving average (SMA), and the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA). You will see why later.

For the MACD, be sure to use the default setting on the 5-minute chart. Said default setting is: Signal ENA=9, First EMA=12, and Second EMA=26. To start on this short-term forex trading strategy, open the 5-minute chart and look for the right currency pair. This means the pair trading below the SMA and EMA. Take a look at the MACD histogram. You will enter into a long trade when the MACD starts turning positive but stay within 5 candles. Your stop loss margin must be positioned at the candles low point, which should be above the EMA and SMA.

You will exit half of your position the moment the trade changes in your favour but be sure that it is still within the amount risked. The other half of your position will follow a trailing stop within a -15 pips on the 20-day EMA. This forex trading tactic should pay off handsomely under the right circumstances.

Now, lets assume that that your chosen currency pair is trading in the opposite direction above the EMA and SMA that is. In this case, you must be patient and wait until such time that the currency pair is trading below both the EMA and SMA by 15 pips, minimum.

In reverse of the first situation, you will enter into a short trade with the MACD turning negative within 5 candles. (The first situation was go long on positive turn). Your stop loss is at the high point of the first candle breaking through the EMA and SMA. (In the first, it was at a low point). You will also exit half of your position with the other half set for a trailing stop at +15 pips on the EMA. Again, this forex trading strategy should be in your favour when you can closely monitor the charts.

There are other strategies for short-term forex transactions, of course. Two examples are the use of 2 charts, namely, the hourly and the 10-minute charts as well as the 200-bar MA. You can also explore these options but we recommend trying the momentum trading strategy first.

Forex Trading System Robots. 3 Things to keep in mind when you’re about to choose.

Right now, thousands of people all over the world are using robots to trade their money, and we’re seeing an increasing number of forex trading robots entering the market. Some of them have been around for quite a while, and a few of them are actually pretty good, but most of them are not. This article will teach you 3 things you should keep in mind when you’re deciding which forex trading system to go for.

1. What do YOU have to do?

When choosing which robot to aim for, it is essential to decide whether you want a fully automated system, or a system based on tips, but yourself in charge. There are systems that will tell you as little as two simple words: “Buy” or “Sell”, and that is advice based on analyzis made by pro’s. The decision to sell or buy at that time is yours only. A fully automated forex trading system will trade your money without any influence by anyone.

2. How flexibel does your forex system need to be?

I would say, very flexible. I have tried robots that works on only one single currency pair, and with bad results. I would like my robot to be able to run several pairs at one time. This ability gives your control over your investment, and makes it possible for you to tweak the settings for maximum profits. The basic settings made by the creators is working good and is stable, but profits are not maximized. Here is a great for the system I use myself.

3. Does it support “demo mode”?

This is important. Because I would never try and run a system without having the ability to run in demo. No one likes to throw their hard earned cash on a system without knowing the shots. The system I currently use myself performs very well from the first day, but I had to try it demo first to get comfortable with it, and then I switched to real account. The results were very good, but not good enough. After reading the guide mentioned above I quickly adjusted my current settings, and the profits trippled overnight. That is why it is important to have the ability to trade in demo, so you can play around with the settings and get the feel of things first.

Forex trading systems is nothing new. But most of them are rubbish. Our website recommends the system we use ourselves, and with good reason: It makes us money! Learn more about this brand new , and start making hourly profitable trades yourself.

A Dividend Trading Strategy To Maximise Your Contracts For Difference Trading

Imagine being able to leverage your current dividend trading strategy several times. For no more effort you can discover how simple it is dramatically increase your current returns. Uncover the truths behind Contracts For Difference Franking Credits and how to boost your current dividend strategy play. Contracts for Difference are remarkably easy to understand as they simply replicate the underlying share market so that any corporate actions on stocks happen to the CFD. Owning say 2000 HVN CFDs whilst the stock pays a 20 cent dividend means you will earn $400 on your Contracts for Difference account.

Payment dates for CFD Dividends

The beauty of trading CFDs for dividends is that you do not have to wait until the payment date like the normal stock market. Most CFD providers credit your account on the day of the ex-div date or the very next day.

Multiply your dividend by 3 times using leverage

In order to multiply your returns you need to start leveraging your account and CFDs provide this advantage. Most stocks only require 10% initial margin. As a result of this leverage you can dramatically increase your trading returns. For example you might normally buy 1000 National Australia Bank shares and receive a $600 credit but with leverage you might buy 3000 NAB shares, which allows you to earn a dividend credit of $1,800. Its like putting a super charger onto your Share trading account.

Many traders simply forget about the power behind trading share CFDs due to the increased leverage you get. Remember leverage is a double edged sword and words great when you are winning but not so great when you are losing. Always remember to keep your leverage small when starting out and you’ll find you stay within a safe risk management guideline. Many new traders tend to get greedy when it comes to leverage and contracts for difference and severly damage their account early one. There is nothing worse than starting off trading with a big win as your confidence gets to the point where you think this is all easy. Well in actual fact it isn’t that easy as you need to have sensible risk management in place at all times. This actual applies to any leveraged product and especially so with Contracts for Difference. Especially when implementing a CFD Dividing Trading strategy.

Do CFDs pay franking credits?

Unfortunately the CFD market doesn’t pay any franking credits. 100% fully franked dividends simply mean you wouldn’t pay tax on those earnings as the company has already paid the tax. Stock market investors need to own the stock for a full 45 days prior to the ex dividend date in order to receive the franking credits. Don’t let sub standard returns hold you back. Add a Dividend strategy to your CFD trading and watch the increase percentage returns. Step up and build it into your strategy today.
